Round-up of 2005

Well, what a fabulous year it has been - and how quickly it has whizzed by!

This year has been wonderful on the dancing front.  Kismet were asked to perform at more and more events during the year, and already we have been booked for several events in 2006.  The number of girls coming out to perform has increased, and more of the ladies from the classes have expressed an interest in dipping a toe in the world of performing! 

The enthusiasm of the girls seems never ending which has really come across in their dancing - and in their willingness to travel long distances to perform!  I know that the various charities for whom we have performed have really appreciated our support and many pounds have been raised for worthy causes.

I had the great privilege of hosting a workshop by the fabulous Rachel Brice of the Bellydance Superstars during their UK tour. And as a surprise bonus the lovely Sonia came to join us.  We were worked very hard, but I think it is true to say that a great time was had by all.

For my part, the classes are as successful as ever, with many new ladies taking up this wonderful dance during the year.  And as you can see below, I will be starting a brand new beginners class in the New Year.

Performance-wise, I'm getting busier and busier and I have danced at some fabulous events, all of which I have enjoyed very much - as you can see from the pictures in the Gallery!!

Our next big performance will be at the Wiggles Dance Club Show, which will be at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon, Essex on 31st March and 1st April 2006.  Kismet will perform two numbers, one traditional "cabaret" style dance and the a more moody and dark "tribal fusion" number.  The girls are already working hard on the choreographies and really looking forward to performing on stage again.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of my students and clients for their support and commitment during the year - I'm so looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in the coming year.

And I'd like to wish all of you a very happy, healthy and fulfilling 2006!
